Hotel Studio do Carmo is an old colonial building of the 18th century located in the heart of Pelourinho, the colourful historic centre of Salvador da Bahia and stage of the stories written by Jorge Amado.

The hotel overlooks the staircase of the church Santíssimo Sacramento do Passo, a jewel of Portuguese art declared by UNESCO to be a world cultural heritage patrimony. There is an art gallery at the hotel reception.
