The Graywood Hotel offers visitors a perfect base from which to explore the quaint village of Knysna and the many adventures found on the Garden Route.

Our timberlog building echoes the town's proud heritage as a woodcraft centre, a skill that survives to this day thanks to the surrounding indigenous forests. An extensive collection of original railway and steam train memorabilia recall a bygone era, while our selection of historic photographs gives you deeper insight into Knysna's locomotive past.

Because we are just 300m from both the town centre and Knysna Waterfront, you can explore at leisure. Amongst the many interests you will find quaint shops, restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, boat cruises and ferry rides, local art galleries and an excellent Tourist Information Centre.

Due to our courtyard design, The Graywood Hotel is a tranquil oasis at the end of a fun-filled day. Relax in the comfort of your room, refresh with a dip in the pool or sit back on the sun deck and surrounding gardens with a drink while you contemplate the choice of local restaurants for dinner.

• Deposit: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
• Internet: Wired internet is available in the business centre and charges are applicable.
• Pets: Pets are not allowed.
• Parking: Free private parking is possible on site.
• Extra Charges: 14 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable.
• Children and extra beds: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge for cots. All children from 4 to 12 years are charged ZAR 240.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.
• Cancellations: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
