We are perfectly placed between Cape Point and Cape Town, within a 20 to 30 minute drive of Table Mountain, the waterfront, the city centre and the convention centre. With such a convenient location, this lodge makes for the perfect base from which to discover the sights.

We have a dining area for the guests inside and on those hot summer mornings, you can enjoy your breakfast out on the veranda overlooking the harbour and the bay. We offer a full breakfast with a choice of cereals, warm bread, yoghurt and our famous fruit salad. There is also a choice of eggs with either bacon or sausage and all the extras. We will also cater for special needs as well as occasions such as Champagne breakfasts.

• Deposit: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
• Internet: Wireless internet is available in some hotel rooms and costs ZAR 50.00 per 24 hours.
• Pets: Pets are not allowed.
• Parking: Free private parking is possible on site.
• Extra Charges: 14 % VAT is not included. Service charge is not applicable. 1 % city/tourist tax per person per night is included.
• Children and extra beds: All children are welcome. All children under 2 years are charged ZAR 120.00 per night for cots. All children under 12 years are charged ZAR 100.00 per night when using existing bedding. All children from 2 to 12 years are charged 75 % of the room stay per night for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
• Cancellations: If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 22 days before date of arrival, 10 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 65 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 1 day before date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

While we accept children our facilities are not child friendly. There is a steep incline in front of the property, an open swimming pool and rope balustrades. We therefore take no responsibility for children who are not under constant supervision. The proprietor, its agents or its employees shall not be liable for, and the guests hereby waive and abandon any claims of whatever nature including but not limited to that of, theft, injury, loss or damage. The guests, in addition to the aforesaid, hereby indemnify the proprietor against any claims which may arise from whatever nature, whether arising from the proprietors default, negligence or otherwise.

By Car: From Hout Bay to Marlinspike: - At the first roundabout in Hout Bay, turn right into Victoria Road. - Proceed over the bridge to the only traffic lights in Hout Bay. - Turn left down Victoria Avenue. - Follow Victoria Avenue through the village down to the harbour. - Pass Mariner's Wharf on your left. - 400 metres further along you will pass Dirty Dick's Tavern on your right. - 200 metres further along on your right you will see the first of the 5 Marlinspike Lodge signs. - At the first T-junction, turn right into Karbonkel Road. - Take the 2nd right into Bay View Road. - Then take the 1st right into Marlin Crescent. - Proceed for approximately 200 metres and you will find Marlinspike Lodge. - It is a yellow, double storey and terracotta coloured building on the bend, on the left opposite a large church.
