Hotel Gela is situated in the centre of Gela (District Smolyan), only 18 km from the famous ski resort Pamporovo, at the foothills of the highest Rhodope peak Perelik (2191m).

Gela is one of the oldest settlements in this region and represents the best starting point to all tourist routes. Erected in 1956 to be the local school, the building was transformed into hotel in the 1980's and has recently been renovated, now combining local tradition style with modern conveniences. Giving attention to even the smallest detail and to diligent service even the most demanding guests will be satisfied.

The hotel features a cosy restaurant with a fireplace and a unique collection of local art and craft objects.

If you want to spend an organic-food stay, the hotel is the best place for you. All offered meals are prepared with local farm products and flavoured with mountain healing herbs. In the Ethno restaurant you can test the unique: Eggs fried on embers, Patatnik - potato in flaky pastry with cheese and leek. Katchamak - polenta dish with egg and cheese, Klin - made from rice, eggs and cheese.
