This small, family-run country house is on the edge of Lough Swilly, set in 18 acres of mature trees and lawns leading to the 2 km-long beach.

Fort Royal is renowned for peace and quiet in comfortable surroundings, and for good food and wine. Walk on the beach, sit by the fire with a good book, or look down to the sea from the terrace. The village of Rathmullan is a 10-minute walk away.

Within the grounds are a 9-hole pitch-and-putt course, a hard tennis court, a walled kitchen garden and an arboretum.
