Gasthof Schloßwirt, Brannenburg - Hotel Description

Boasting easy access to the motorway, this time-honoured guest house at the foot of the Wendelstein mountain invites you to enjoy relaxing holidays.

A family business since 1932, the traditional guest house will spoil you with its cosy, rustic rooms and friendly ambience. After recharging your batteries, discover the beautiful countryside and various leisure activities at your doorstep. The A93 motorway for Kufstein/Innsbruck is only 2 km away.

In the evening, tickle your taste buds in the guest house’s charming dining areas. A cool drink in the beer garden is the ideal way to end the summer evening.

As early as 1447, the guest house was named as a “tavern” and associated with the Branneburg castle and dynasty.

In the 19th century, it was a summer residence for contemporary artists such as the painters and poets E. Schleich the Elder, Voltz und K. Raupp. During his time in Munich, even Wilhelm Busch spent the summer months here together with his artist friends. The guest house's Künstlerstüberl restaurant honours his memory to this day.
