This beautiful hotel dating back to 1758, is built in the traditional half-timbered style, and is located in one of the nicest parts of the Saale River valley in Franconia.

Come and enjoy the marvellous tranquillity, far away from any through traffic, at the foot of the Sodenberg mountain. The hotel is surrounded by spacious meadows, extending to the banks of the Saale River.

This is an ideal base for exploring the local Franconian countryside on foot, by bicycle, motorbike or even by canoe.

The hotel features a 4 x 10 metre swimming pool, complete with deckchairs and poolside seating. There are also facilities for basketball, table-tennis, volleyball, and a large children's playground with a tree-house. The beer garden right by the riverbank is open from May until September.
