Come and enjoy a memorable stay in the 19th-century Villa Hentzel which was home to intellectual giants such as Rudolf Steiner and also hosted the Chilean Embassy.
The intimate, bright rooms are ideal for relaxing at the start of a full day of sightseeing. The Villa is just a short stroll from Goethe’s garden house, numerous museums, and the peaceful Ilmpark.

Other UNESCO world-heritage sites include the Widow Palace, the St. Peter and Paul Town Church, the Residential Palace, the Duchess Anna Amalia Library, Be sure to visit the Park on the river Ilm with its Roman House, the Tiefurt Palace and Park, the Belvedere Palace and Orangery as well as Ettersburg Palace. The Bauhaus museum, Liszt museum, municipal museum and Gingko museum are also well worth a visit, as is the nearby Buchenwald concentration camp.
