Our small and beautiful family-run hotel is the only 4-star hotel in the upper Gail Valley, Carinthia’s natural paradise, which is the ideal starting point for hiker, biker as well as all friends of the idyllic 'WEISSENSEE'. In the winter our guests can use our direct cross-country ski run leading to the famous Carinthian ski paradise NASSFELD.
Surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Carnic Alps, the hotel is the ideal location to relax body, mind and soul amid a breathtaking scenery. Combining first-rate culinary pleasures and excellent spa facilities, our peaceful paradise is also a perfect choice for guests who enjoy fly-fishing. Our own 2-km long fishing stream is one of the most pristine stretches of the Gail River and is home to a huge number of greylings and trout, which are available exclusively to our guests. Fly-fishing classes are organised on request.

Within Austria, Lake Weissensee is one of the lakes with the largest variety of fish. Species include rainbow trout, pike, perch, lake trout, char and carp. Those who prefer fishing in running water go for the Rivers Gail, Garnitzenbach, Zerimbach, Angerbach or Valentinbach.
