This family-run traditional hotel is located in Borkheide in the province of Brandenburg, just to the west of Berlin and within easy reach of Potsdam.

Enjoy the historical ambience in the Hotel Fliegerheim. This beautiful building was renovated according to its original design from around 1900.

The Borkheide area is steeped in aviation history, and when known as Bork, it was the site of Germany's first motorised flight in 1909. The building was used as a flying school throughout the 20th century.

In recent times the building reopened as a hotel and restaurant. It was named 'Fliegerheim' (pilots' quarters) to reflect its proud aviation tradition.

Nowadays you can stay here and enjoy a rich breakfast buffet each morning, either in the conservatory restaurant or on the sun terrace. The Hotel Fliegerheim also features all modern comforts, including free wireless LAN.

You will receive a hearty welcome in the traditional hotel-restaurant which has been completely restored according to the original designs.

The Hotel Fliegerheim offers a range of dining facilities where you can celebrate various family or business functions. The Fliegerzimmer (Flying Room) seats 14 guests, the conservatory 30 guests and the large banqueting hall a further 120 guests.

Hotel Fliegerheim, Beelitz - Directions

The Hotel Fliegerheim can be easily reached by car. Take the Beelitz (3) exit on the A9 motorway, and head towards Brück. After 2.7 km you come to the Borkheide road junction. Turn off to the right and drive through the centre as far as the station. You can get here by regional trains from Berlin, Potsdam or Dessau. Get off at the Borkheide stop. The local 647 bus service travels between Neuendorf bei Brück and Beelitz via Beelitz-Heilstätten. Get off the bus at Borkheide station.
