Set in Upper Austria's scenic Salzkammergut region, the picturesque spa town of Bad Ischl became famous as the longtime summer residence of Austrian Emperor Francis Joseph and his wife Sisi. The magnificent lakes and mountains surrounding the town were made famous in the 1965 film "The Sound of Music."
