The Mayan Riviera is the touristic area situated along the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Geographically it extends along the coast with a longitude of 130km, from the town of Puerto Morelos in the north to the town of Punta Allen in the south. Created in 1998 under a mandate by public authorities (State of Quintana Roo, Canton de Solidaridad) and by the professional organizations of tourism in the area, the Mayan Riviera became, along with Cancun, the most important tourist destination in Mexico and one of the most visited destinations in the world. How to get to the resort: By Car: From the Cancún airport take the Chetumal-Puerto Juárez highway in the direction of Tulum, going through the towns of Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and lastly, Puerto Aventuras. From this last town, continue driving for five more minutes and you will find the resort on your left. By Taxi: From the airport taxi stop, the resort is about 80min/90km away and the trip costs approximately 65 USD. km (50 miles).
