The hotel is situated on Laugavegur, the city's main street, and all of Reykjavík's main shops, restaurants and cafes are within easy walking distance.
Hotel Phoenix is a small hotel with 9 spacious, comfortable, en suite rooms. The hotel was the first to offer non-smoking accommodation in Iceland and is still proud to offer guests a pleasant, smoke-free environment.

Hotel Phoenix is centrally located, right on Laugavegur, the main street in Reykjavík. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby, within easy walking distance. The main bus station for the city bus is just 100 metres away. The hotel is only minutes away from the very heart of Reykjavik, the old city. Swimming pools, museums and other attractions are also within walking distance. Reykjavik's Gay Pride parade starts right outside the hotel.

By Air: The hotel is approximately 50 km north of Keflavik International Airport. The easiest and least expensive way to get into Reykjavík from the airport is to take the Flybus shuttle, which runs 24 hours a day from just outside the airport's arrival hall. The bus runs regularly to Reykjavík's central bus station (BSI). The fastest and most convenient way to get from the bus station to the hotel is via taxi and taxis are readily available from just outside the station. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the bust station. Credit cards are widely accepted in Iceland and can be used on the Flybus shuttle and in taxis. Tipping is not a custom in Iceland and nobody expects it.
