By Train: Windermere Station: 5 miles. From here you can get a taxi or bus. The bus stop is 200 metres away. By Car: From the South: - Take the main A591 to Ambleside. - Pass "Hayes Garden World". - Turn right into public car park and left out the other side onto Old Lake Road. - Take the second road on the right, Low Gale. - Barnes Fell is the second house on the right. From the North: - Arriving on the one way system, pass through the village and turn left into Old Lake Road by the "Homes of Football". - Turn left into Low Gale. - Then, as above.
