Åre Continental Inn - Hotel Description

Deep in the heart of Jämtland, the Åre Continental Inn is situated just 5 km from the village of Åre; one of Sweden's best and largest ski resorts.

Åre Continental Inn offers functional and pleasant accommodation with large, modern communal areas and striking views combined with well-equipped leisure facilities.

The spacious guest rooms are practically furnished and many enjoy mountain views and include Tempur quality beds. Some public spaces were created by renowned Swedish designer Ralf Lindberg.

The restaurant offers stunning views of Åre Village, lakes and mountains. The food and décor is inspired by traditions from Jämtland and neighbouring Norrland. During winter half board is included, which means breakfast and a dinner buffet. This comes with free coffee, tea or lemonade, and after dinner ice cream for children.

Drinks and light meals are available in the Grizzly Bar, pool and spa areas and even in front of the open fire in the cosy Moose Lounge.

Please note that during summer and autumn the restaurant is closed apart from pre-booked groups or conferences.

All guests receive free entrance to the Sport Club and can rent the VIP sauna that offers fantastic views.

During winter, ski buses transfer guests to and from the slopes from just outside the hotel. Close to the hotel guests can try horse back riding, snow mobile tours, dog sledding, snow shoeing, paragliding, canyoning and hiking.

Åre's aim is to be as accessible to as many people as possible, so disabled persons are warmly welcomed and catered for. Totalskidskolan is Europes largest disabled ski school. The hotel also has a defibrillator and all personnel receive regular CPR training.

• Deposit: The total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
• Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs SEK 60.00 per hour.
• Pets: Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.
• Parking: Free private parking is possible on site.
• Extra Charges: 12 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable.
• Children and extra beds: All children are welcome. All children under 7 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged SEK 200.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
• Cancellations: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Åre Continental Inn - Important Information

Up to and including 13.08.09 the reception is open daily from 07:30 to 22:00 and from 14.08.09 onwards it is open on weekdays between 07:30 and 19:00 When arriving outside these hours please contact the hotel prior to arrival to receive the door code. Please note that the restaurant is closed during summer and that the minimum age for hotel guests without adult supervision is 20 years.
