The Kirchenwirt is a stylish, traditional and friendly hotel and restaurant in a central yet quiet location in the heart of Weißenkirchen in the Wachau Valley, only a few kilometres away from Krems.

In addition to the Kirchenwirt main building, there are 2 newly renovated annexes from the 16th century, which are located in the immediate vicinity. Each house has its own style, and all rooms are equipped with every comfort.

All guestrooms are equipped with solid wood furniture and are very tastefully decorated. The rooms at the Arkadenhof and the Gellerhaus are very individual, since they feature high wooden ceilings or cross vaults.

The picturesque village of Weißenkirchen invites to enjoy strolls through the narrow lanes and the vineyards, and to visit the fortified church and the Renaissance courtyards with their arcades.

Discover the Wachau World Heritage Site by bicycling along the Danube, hiking in the vineyards and forests, or by ship. Enjoy a hot summer day on one of the natural beaches along the river. Visit the nearby Waldviertel region with its many monasteries, castles, and palaces (maps available at the hotel). 2 golf courses (18 and 36 holes) are within 30 km and offer reduced green fees to hotel guests. Vienna is just a 1-hour drive away.

The Kirchenwirt is also ideally suited as a stopover on the way between Salzburg and Vienna or between Germany and Hungary.
