Skogshem & Wijk is set in the Elfvikslandet district of northern Lidingö. The striking countryside with tranquil views of the archipelago is surrounded by pine forests.

Skogshem was opened in 1958 and Wijk in 1969. They are designed by the architect Anders Tengbom, one of the masters of Nordic 1960s' modernism.

The beautiful guest rooms have been decorated in an elegant style, in the same functional spirit as Tengbom's original interior design. The recently remodelled rooms include light wooden floors and new fittings; natural materials were used as much as possible.

The health centre consists of an exercise hall, sauna, a well-equipped gym, a massage chair and a relaxation area. It is also possible to use the row boats, bicycles, boule courts, the barbecue area and the terraces.

Skogshem & Wijk's award-winning kitchen provides guests with stimulating menus and peaceful sea views.

• Cancellations: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
