The nearest airports are Munich (160 km), Stuttgart (150 km away), Friedrichshafen (100 km away) and Innsbruck. The newly-opened Memmingen airport is just 75 kilometres away. On request the hotel can arrange a hotel transfer for you. If coming by rail, take the intercity train to Augsburg, and from Augsburg there are regular connections via Buchloe to Füssen. You can take a bus or a taxi from Füssen to Schwangau, a distance of just 2 kilometres. If coming by car, you can take the A7 motorway to Nesselwang-Lachen, which is 21 kilometres from Schwangau. One way of avoiding heavy traffic is to take the A7 motorway to Kempten, the B12 to Markoberdorf, the B16 to Rosshaupten, head for Buching and take the B17 to Schwangau. Schwangau is 55 kilometres from the Kempten motorway exit.
