On the striking island of Öland, the family owned and run Hotel Skansen is centrally located in Färjestaden, only 300 metres from the nearest beach.

Close to the Öland Bridge and shopping centres, these historic buildings have housed a hotel since 1901 and the surrounding parkland houses the remains of a 16th century fortress, the Färjestadens Skans.

Hotel Skansen has a total of 51 rooms and the main hotel building has retained its historic charm and style with beautiful textiles and old English style furniture.

Remember to try the spa facility that includes a sauna, treatments, a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Health conscious guests can take advantage of the gym area with spinning bikes, a treadmill and free weights.
