The traditional Hotel Diplomat Åregården is situated in the heart of Åre and offers a genuine and international alpine atmosphere.

Located opposite Åre's main square, Diplomat offers a picturesque setting with breathtaking mountain and lake views. The mountain railway is located here and the cable-car lift transports guests to the top of the 1420m high Åreskutan top.

The 100 pistes and 40 lifts at Åre offer some of the best skiing in Sweden, while dogsledding, rafting and hiking tours can also be arranged.

Indoors Hotel Diplomat's guests will enjoy the library where the walls are covered with turn-of-the-century paintings. Here a wide variety of games, books and magazines are available.

The interior design of the modern guest rooms reflect the traditional, warm style of the Jämtland region and many details from the building's early 1900s origins have been preserved. Rooms located in the older part of Åregården enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and Lake Åresjön.

The 22 m² double rooms are situated in the newer wing of Åregården and the larger double rooms can be converted into family rooms for guests travelling with small children.

Guests can enjoy free admission to one of Åre's most popular nightclubs, the Country Club. The brand new Åregården Larder & Wine bar offers a comfortable lounge atmosphere and the Åregården Bar & Bistro presents traditional Swedish cuisine and a waffle-menu.

Hotel Diplomat Åregården - Important Information

From 7 July until 31 August, the sauna, pool, nightclub and restaurant are closed. Only light dishes are served. During this period, the hotel reception is open from 08:00 until 11:00 and from 16:00 until 20:00.
