This charming, family-run hotel is a historic building which is situated in the heart of the beautiful Old Town of Regensburg, close to all main UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The Altstadt-Engel provides cosy rooms with all modern amenities, including complimentary internet access. Each of the individually designed theme rooms is dedicated to a chapter in Regensburg's history. For instance, it is possible to stay in the 'hat-maker's room' or the 'brewery room'.

Help yourself to the rich buffet breakfast each morning in the cosy bistro-café. Here you can also enjoy homemade cakes, fresh pancakes, light bistro cuisine and refreshing cocktails in the afternoon or evenings.

The Altstadt-Engel is within easy walking distance of Regensburg's main attractions, such as the cathedral, theatre and the Steinerne Brücke (stone bridge). There are many fine shops, cafés and restaurants nearby.

When the hotel was renovated, great importance was placed on preserving elements representing the 3 architectural periods - Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance - which have existed since the hotel was built in the 14th century.
