The former Victorian ballroom now serves as the main restaurant, named after Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the famous Scottish artist and architect. The fine stained glass Art Deco windows, a feature of the magnificent panelled room, are attributed to him. Pictures of the rich and famous that have frequented the hotel over the years adorn the walls whilst the contemporary furnishings complement the many antiques and period pictures and paintings. The result is a comfortable blend of old and new, creating an atmosphere which is relaxed, informal and distinctive. Both the cuisine and surroundings are stylish and whilst simple fresh ingredients are preferred, the artistry that accompanies them produces a host of culinary delights. The elegant Red Room is ideal for a small private party, conference or director's meeting. The comfortable lounges are ideal for a pre-dinner drink or a relaxing after-dinner liqueur and coffee. 2-course lunches and a 4-course evening menu are offered throughout the week.

Bear left, then continue straight ahead onto M53. Exit onto M56 at J15. Exit the M56 at J14. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit onto A5117. Continue straight ahead onto A56, then turn right onto Robin Hood Lane. Turn right onto The Rock, then continue straight ahead onto Back Lane. Continue straight ahead onto Commonside, then turn left onto Manley Road, where the hotel is located.
