September 19, 2011I found the hotel very pleasant and right across the street from the spa. The pool at hotel was lovely and service very good. I found the breakfast room a bit sterile. They could do a bit more to make it cosy perhaps.

August 26, 2011This was a lovely charming old style hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. It was an ideal location for us as we were able to visit the surrounding attractions and then come back to the lovely pool. Its location within the village was also good as it was very close to some lovely restaurants and also the village square which was a true taste of Italy.

August 22, 2011The ambiance was fantastic, the lobby was set up nice with different inviting seating areas inside and outside. Nice patio area with tables and a pool. Most the people that stayed were mostly mature couples. The food was outstanding. The staff was very nice and there is an english speaking person there all the time if need be. The front desk speaks english. One thing that was different for me is that you had to leave your key when you left and pick it up when you returned. Never seen that before. I'm sure they had their reasons.
We booked 6 people, given the ages of the children. When we got there they were totally unaware that we needed 1 extra bed and a crib. They were unable to provide the extra bed. I'm not sure what the hang up was. We did have a baby bed so it wasn't a problem, but if we didn't have that it would have been a problem. Another thing is it would have been better if they offered some sort of egg for the breakfast.

August 7, 2011The room was clean although the furniture a bit dated. There were always enough towels. A good location for day trips to the Toscany cities (Siena, Lucca etc.) and to the sea.
As we stayed at the hotel the weather was not really hot. To use the pool was not really a pleasure as the water was a bit too cold espeacially for children - could be heated a little.

This a typical Italian hotel in a quiet Tuscan town.Apart from the bells ringing rather frequently is was very peaceful, breakfast was good, staff friendly and mainly very clean.Towels were changed very regularly and rooms cleaned every day.3 Star rating but a lot better than some 4 star hotels. The number or lack of restaurants in the town would be the only reason we would not return as we like to dine in different restaurants each evening. For a relaxing, clean and comfortable hotel we would have no hesitation in recommending.
The swimming pool was in a lovely setting but did need cleaning.
