August 6, 2011It was a very relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. Staff were very attentive but not intrusive. Our room was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool.
We stayed four nights and I would ave liked more variation to the menu and wine list.

May 1, 2011The chateau itself was beautiful - exactly what we wanted and our room(s) was enormous. The service from Marco was attentive friendly and informative. We chose the "suprise" 4 course meal with a selection of local wines and it was well worth the money. The pool area with jacuzzi was a lovely place to relax

October 20, 2011The staff were all very attentive and thoughtful. We especially enjoyed using the outside pool and hot tub (even though it was October). The bathrooms were very modern and clean. We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely return.

October 9, 2011Our hostess was very gracious. Our room was better than expected: very large with a modern bathroom and even a separate dressing room. There was fine dining at the chateau with reasonable prices. Breakfast was very good served in beautiful surroundings. The pool was a great plus, too.
There was nothing that we didn't like.

October 7, 2011Wifi internet connection was excellent. The chateau was very nicely decorated, and room is spacious and classic. Very relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by nature. Nice garden and swimming pool (though we never used). The price was quite economical with a stay at historical chateau.
The bathroom was a bit stink, smelled like sewage. First night, there ware dirty towels on the racks left by the previous guests. Breakfast is not included and costs for 15 euro/person sounds a bit overpriced for countryside b&B. Also a bit annoying that we were asked if we would like to make a reservation for dinner at the hotel every morning when we leave – we usually don't plan about dinner from the beginning of the day.

September 5, 2011Wonderful place! Great chateau and grounds with pleasant pool and gardens. Superb 'elegance double room' was actually three large rooms (bedroom, sitting room and bathroom) as a suite. Very peaceful. Excellent gourmet 'taster' dinner with well matched selection of local wines. Fantastic breakfast. Excellent service without being stuffy. Great place for one or two nights and surprisingly good value for such quality.
Nothing.

August 6, 2011The chateau was one of the highlights from our tip. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are big and well preserved. The master suite is amazing. Dinner was great as well.
Rooms should be better cleaned everyday (the trash bins were not empety during our whole stay...)

August 4, 2011It is a charming chateau that can be use as a headquarter to visit the Loire Valley. All major chateaux are at decent distance from Brain-Sur-Allonnes. The neighbourhood is very charming, the domain of the castle is very green and very relaxing. It is peaceful place, perfect for an escape from crowded cities. Also, there is no TV in the room. The amenities are good, public area at the ground floor and pool area are great. The dinning room is "elegant old style" and the food served at the dinner was delicious. The personnel is very kind and helpful.
The suite we had needs some refurbishments, that is for sure. The room itself is stylish and very nice, but the small chamber and the bathroom needs some upgrade to fit with the room. We had the master suite, but the bathroom looked very old, some of the floor tiles were moving, the shower looked like it was in there for centuries, and the furniture was a perfect kitsch. It was like you've paid for a five stars room and you've got a two stars bathroom. Also, the furniture in the small room wasn't refurbished properly, just painted. And servicing in the room needs an upgrade. We have stayed for five nights at this chateau and we have never been refilled with shower gel and other cosmetics. A minor thing, but it sounded pretty odd to me and it an unpleasant surprise. The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable. Poor lightening in the rooms. In the bathroom just one light was working. Also, there are no slippers available, even if in the bathroom and in the other small room there are stone tiles on the floor and no carpets.

July 27, 2011Beautiful area with an air of luxury. We felt priviledged visiting a delightful timeless chateau with its air of peace, yet discreet modern facilities. Breakfast was the best we have ever had in France with an international palette catered for.
The creaky doors were very annoying as there were two doors between the bathroom and bedroom. Light sleepers beware! Please oil the hinges. We booked a double bed which was actually two pushed close together and seemed unable to stay that way.

On arriving at this Chateau we weren't sure what to expect - other reviewers described it as 'tired' but in fact it is lovely - perhaps more 'shabby chic'. Our room was enormous, with a lovely shower and very comfy bed: the only criticism being that there were only 3 sockets, already taken up with bedside lamps and the mini bar. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast more than adequate. There is a small heated pool and spacious grounds to walk in. But the icing on the cake was the service, which was first class.
As mentioned above, only three sockets in the room, and now we all have so much electrical paraphernalia which has to be charged!
