Our exquisite range of simple Thuringian cuisine and international dishes will satisfy even our most discerning guests. In the "Schwarzer Bär" we offer our guests hearty cuisine from first-class regional produce. Our cellar is well stocked with wines from all of the most famous regions of the world, and also with local wines from Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and from around Jena, Europe's most northerly wine-growing region. Your day begins with a rich Thuringian breakfast buffet served in our attractive "Spiegelsaal" from 6:30 until 10:00. Lunch and dinner are served from 11:00 in our restaurant and in our "Grüner Salon". At the end of the day, you can unwind in our cosy bar.

At the end of 1999, our hotel's chefs were awarded a "chef's hat" for the 9th consecutive year, for their skilful preparation of regional and international dishes; no other restaurant in Jena received this accolade.
