The hotel is situated on the A709, 4 miles from Dumfries and 8 miles from Lockerbie, off junction 17/18 from the main M74 North/South motorway between England and Scotland. It is also only 2.5 miles off the A75 Carlisle to Stranraer route to the Irish Ferry terminal. Travelling time to Stranraer is approximately one and a half hours, making the hotel an ideal stopping off point. Dumfries and Lockerbie railway stations are also only a matter of 15 minutes away. The city of Carlisle can be reached by train in around 35 minutes from both stations.
