Barnimer Hof, Wandlitz - Basdorf - Area Information

Our hotel is located in the Basdorf district of Wandlitz. It takes just 20 minutes to reach Berlin from here. The nearby Heidekrautbahn railway, which reopened in 2005, takes you directly to Berlin-Karow where you find a city train (S-Bahn) connection to the inner city.

The hotel lies on a newly renovated marketplace which offers numerous shops. The annual fair with its large Easter fires and fireworks is a major attraction which lures many visitors.

Visit the Niederfinow ship’s hoist, the Schorfheide biosphere reserve, the Schorfheide wildlife park, Chorin monastery or the Hussite town of Bernau. Take a boat trip on the Werbelin lake, go and see Potsdam’s palaces and gardens, and visit Wandlitz, the preferred residence of so many former GDR officials.

The hotel is just 500 metres from the Basdorf regional train station. It is just 10 minutes’ journey time by train from Basdorf station to Berlin-Karow on the outskirts of the capital, and a further 10 minutes to the city centre.
