By Car: - Take the A1 and follow the signs for Coimbra Sul. - Once in Coimbra, follow the signs indicating the Estrada da Beira (N 17) or Lousa. - Cross the bridge over the Mondego River and drive 14 km until you see a sign indicating the direction of Lousa. - Turn right and continue until you reach Foz de Arouce where you will cross over a Roman bridge which passes over the Ceira River. - Continue for 3.5 km and after passing Povoa da Lousa, you will see a blue sign indicating the direction of the Quintal de Alem do Ribeiro. - Turn left and follow the remaining signs. Lisbon: 250 km. Porto: 150 km. Coimbra: 23 km. Lousa: 4 km.
