In the heart of Whitley Bay, this traditional family run guesthouse offers great value, comfort and good service, alongside a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

On a quiet avenue near the seafront, overlooking Whitley Park, the Park Lodge is just minutes from Whitley Bay's beach, the indoor leisure pool, the town centre and the metro station. The convenient location and good transport links also make the guesthouse a good base for visiting historic Northumbria and all areas of Newcastle and Tyne and Wear.

Established for 30 years, the Park Lodge continues to provide quality service at good value rates. All of the rooms have Freeview TV's, hairdryers and hot drink facilities. The bathrooms all have wet room style power showers.

Recent refurbishments to the hotel include new carpets and curtains in the lounge and dining room areas.

The guest house has an attractive lounge with a large coal fire, perfect for relaxing in the evening. We do not offer evening meals but, there are several very good restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

Whitley Bay makes a great base whether you are you are exploring the region on holiday or visiting the area on business. If you are here on business, Whitley Bay is ideally placed on Tyneside, close to Wearside, Teesside and the Border Country. The hotel’s location also offers excellent access to the region’s major road network, with good road access both North and South through the Tyne Tunnel. Newcastle Central station and Newcastle Airport are both within 12 miles (19 km).

Whitley Bay is also an ideal destination for families and couples both young and old. The town has excellent beaches, numerous local amenities, a lively nightlife and plenty of shops; There really is something for everybody.

There is plenty to see and do in the region surrounding the hotel. Newcastle Gateshead is home to the Tyne Bridge, the Metro Centre, Eldon Square, the Baltic, the Sage, St James Park, Gateshead International Stadium and lots more.

Northumbria offers delightful countryside and wonderful coastal destinations including Alnwick, Holy Island, Kielder Water, the Cheviot Hills and Hadrian’s Wall.

South of Whitley Bay lies Country Durham, home to the Beamish Museum, Barnard Castle and Durham Cathedral.
