The city of Perth is a short drive away, where you can browse the shops, relax in a pavement cafe or walk through the parks that line the River Tay. Perthshire is golfing country, with over 60 courses within an hour's drive, including Carnoustie, Gleneagles and St. Andrews.

Visit one of the many distillerys, a must if you're coming to Scotland. For the young or young at heart, visit the Beatrix Potter Exhibition at Birnam or take a drive to Kirriemuir, birth place of JM Barrie, author of Peter Pan. Fish for trout and salmon on the River Tay and its tributaries, the Almond, Earn, Ericht, Tilt and Tummel. Visit one of the many castles within a 90 minute drive, including: Glamis - the childhood home of the Queen Mother Blair - a magnificent white turreted castle, home of the Duke of Atholl. Scone Palace - where kings of Scotland were crowned.

From Edinburgh Airport: - Follow signs for the Forth Bridge and then take the M90 north for Perth. - In Perth, follow signs for the A93 for Braemar and drive through Blairgowrie until you come to traffic lights. - Turn left and the Ivybank is 200 metres on the right side of road. From Glasgow Airport: - Follow the M80 for Stirling and then take the M9/A9 for Perth. - Continue as above.
