Housed in a former 19th century textile factory, the Alter Hotel is now a relaxing and welcoming hotel surrounded by the Monviso Mountains in Barge, in the Piedmont region.

Experience the refinement of a rigorous yet innovative renovation and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Po, Bronda and Infernotto valleys, with interesting villages scattered along the area. Alter Hotel staff will be happy to suggest routes in the nearby countryside.

The Alter offers a fitness area complete with Technogym equipment and a squash court. During the summer you can use the tennis court in the park. The fitness area also provides Turkish bath and massage showers. Upon reservation you can also enjoy beauty massage treatments.

A true pride of Alter Hotel, exclusive for our guests, is the exposition of vintage cars called Garages United, a collection of Italian Fiat and Lancia cars from the 1920s and 1930s, that you can visit upon appointment.

The Cafè Lacet offers a quiet retreat between the hall and the private garden, embellished by an ancient Atlantic cedar. It is the ideal place to meet friends or colleagues, to taste a nice brunch, a coffee or a cocktail while admiring the beauty of the sky and the landscape surrounding the hotel.

• Cancellations: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, 35 percent of the first night will be charged.
