Set on the east of Costa Smeralda, in an area of natural beauty, the hotel is found in the small village of Poltu Quatu; one of the most enchanting corners of North Sardinia.

This idyllic position offers a spectacular view on the La Maddalena Islands and offers easy access to Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia, which are perfect destinations for day excursions.

During your stay you can dedicate yourself to discover the picturesque surroundings by boat, take diving and snorkeling excursions, or you can learn to sail in one the world’s most beautiful seas.

The 142 elegant rooms and the 67 brand new apartments are inspired by the Sardinian handcraft and tradition. The hotel also boasts a beauty and fitness centre, one large swimming pool, one smaller swimming pool for children, a conference centre, business centre, garage with valet service (for up to 30 cars) and a free shuttle service to the hotel's equipped beach.

Standard Double Room

This 18 m² room overlooks Poltu Quatu's mountain. The cotto tiled floor, embroided carpets and curtains as well as all of the decorations in the room are inspired by the Sardinian art and craft tradition. The room includes its own adjoining bathroom with a large marble sink and many other facilities. Its position ensures a tranquil and relaxing stay.

This 20 m² room contains one double bed, or 2 twin beds, and overlooks the magnificent swimming pool with its spectacular cascade. The terracotta tiled floor, embroidered carpets and curtains and all of the decorations in the room are inspired by traditional Sardinian arts and crafts. The room includes its own adjoining bathroom with a large marble sink and many other facilities.

The Al Alba Restaurant, overlooking the swimming pool, is elegantly decorated in a Spanish-Sardinian style and offers a rich buffet or à la carte service at lunch time.

Guests can taste the delicate and fine creations in the restaurant’s inside room or outside at the tables under the Gazebo, by the swimming pool.

La Bahia Restaurant with its spectacular Marina view offers a rich buffet breakfast and candlelight atmosphere for dinner, with local, national and international cuisine. The large room offers a warm welcome with its precious curtains that allow areas to be separated for small parties.

Both restaurants will be opened from April to September.

The Melia Poltu Quatu hotel is located in the Costa Smeralda, the world-famous landmark of Sardinia.

Poltu Quatu, meaning 'the hidden port', was built in 1987 for a typical fisherman's village. The port, a wide circular square, consists of lovely side-streets and white buildings on the Granito Rocks - a magnificent fjord where the cliffs sink directly in the crystalline sea and are surrounded by the colour and scent of the typical Mediterranean macchia.

This glamorous yet relaxing location offers a spectacular view of La Maddalena Islands. It is approximately 3 km from Porto Cervo, 2.5 km from Baia Sardinia and 15 km from the Pevero Golf Club. The night-life is centred around the circular square and its bars, restaurants and boutiques. At the famous Smaila' s Night Club you can easily spot the most famous names of the international jet set.
