Palácio Belmonte, Lisboa - Hotel Description

The hotel is located beneath the walls of Castelo São Jorge, Palácio Belmonte, the oldest complex in Lisbon. Parts of it date from 1449. In 1997 The Palácio Belmonte was registered as a national monument. In October 2000, the regeneration project received international acknowledgement by being presented with the the RICS Award (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors). Besides its 11 luxury suites, Palácio Belmonte offers several public places including a library, living rooms with fireplaces, garden and outdoor swimming pool.

All suites are decorated in a unique contemporary style, featuring furniture from the 17th through to the 21st century. Marvel at the old tile decorations from the 15th and 17th century found throughout the building. Each suite is named after a well-known personality from Portuguese history.
