In the heart of Gerrards Cross and renowned for its good food, fine wines and award-winning ales, this hotel exudes the character and charm that epitomise the traditional British inn.

The striking Georgian-style building located in the village centre offers the luxury of a countryside retreat with the convenience of easy access to London and Windsor. The hotel is located just 2 minutes' walk from Gerrards Cross Train Station and also offers ample parking.

Its 32 bedrooms are all well-equipped with modern facilities, including wireless internet connection.

Dating back to the late 1800s, The Ethorpe Hotel started life as a private residence. A Buckinghamshire census of 1891 records the Bellairs family living here along with their domestic staff. Abbram Ennis a stockbroker, was the head of the family and the house was simply known as Ethorpe. The first record of the house becoming a licensed hotel was in 1924.

By Car From the M40 North, junction 2: - Exit left from the roundabout (first exit) onto the A355 to Beaconsfield. - Turn right at the next roundabout (second exit) onto the A40 signposted to Gerrards Cross. - At the first traffic lights, turn left onto Packhorse Road. We are on the left after the shops. From M25 junction 16: - Take the M40 South and then take the first exit, signposted to Uxbridge. - Turn left at the traffic lights - Turn left at the roundabout (first exit) onto the A40 sign posted to Gerrards Cross. - Follow the A40 for 3 miles until you come into Gerrards Cross. - Turn right onto Packhorse Road at the traffic lights and crossroads. - We are on the left after the shops. By Rail We are a 2 minute walk away from Gerrards Cross Train Station which takes you directly into London Marlebone in 30 minutes, or to Wembley Stadium in just 18 minutes. By Air Heathrow Airport is a 20 minute car journey from the hotel.
