The Relais Montepiano is set in an organic farm surrounded by 9 hectares of olive groves and 10 of wood in the Rieti area.
The Relais offers hospitality in the ancient Montasola Palace, owned by the same family for 3 centuries.
Montasola is the ideal location for a dreamy meditative holiday and to enjoy incredible horizons as the German historian Ferdinand Gregorovius used to say when visiting Lazio for his studies.

Every apartment was recently restored, preserving a traditional style. Each apartment has access to a furnished terrace or charming roof garden. From every window you can enjoy magnificent views over a wide valley.

Also known as The Tower, this apartment is comprised of 4 levels: 1. In the basement there is a large luxury hot-tub in a room carved out of the rock, actually more like a small, warm pool. 2. At ground level there is an entrance hall where there are 2 extra beds, one of which is on a mezzanine. There also a table with chairs for sociable moments. 3. On the first floor is an exquisite apartment with a king-size sofa bed set over breathtaking views of the valleys below. Olive groves, vineyards, and woods stretch away past medieval villages to the sacred Mount Soratte and beyond to the sea and even St. Peter's Dome in Rome, definitely not an ordinary view. In the next room is a fully-equipped kitchen and further past linen cupboards on a beautiful bathroom with a large bubble shower. 4. On the top of the Tower is a delicious terrace where the view opens out even more. Here you can have breakfast, an evening drink or a meal waiting for the sun to set and the stars to rise.
