September 8, 2011We entered the Inn and it gave us a bad feeling from the beginning. It is very dirty and needing repairs and maintenace. The room was very much in need of a good clean, the curtains were coming off the rails and the carpet was filthy. A huge stain on the side of the matress did not make me feel happy either. The sheets on the bed were clean but as I was getting into bed a huge spider scrambled out of between the sheet and the very dirty blanket. The blanket was in need of a wash. The telephone did not work in the room. I complained but nothing could be done other that uproot us and put us in another room. I feel very sorry for the receptionists because it is not their problem that the Inn is so Run Down and dirty. Breakfast was very poor and they could only provide instant coffee. It was way over priced for the standard of accomodation. I would not recommend staying at the Chester Comfort Inn.

November 27, 2011Staff were friendly.
Bathroom was not very clean and there was a bad smell. There were no facilities to speak of and even the two small vending machines did not offer much choice. The room and entire hotel looked very 'tired' and in bad need of modernising. Very disappointing for what I thought was a good brand. I would not recommend this hotel and am pretty sure that I won’t use the brand in any location again.

September 6, 2011The room itself was ok and clean.
It was a warm day and the window wasn't very big plus we had a wall facing us so the room was very stuffy with little air coming in. There were lots of bags of laundry in the corridors till the next morning and you could hear every sound from the nearby rooms.

September 1, 2011The location was about 20 mins walk from the city centre so for us that was ok .
We found two of the three reception staff very rude. Also the wi-fi was not available from our room only in the breakfast area.

August 23, 2011The hotel location.
The hotel was very noisy and you heard other guests coming back from nights out. The beds were not comfy and very hard. The cleanliness of the room and shower room were however very good.

February 8, 2012value for money & location
room quite shabby though clean however for the price I guess I shouldn't expect too much, though a lick of paint, some new bedding, a decent mattress and a shower with a door on it and I'd have been extremely happy. would still go back though !

February 6, 2012Pleasant suburb outside the city centre with pubs, banks, shops on the way within easy reaching distance.
Could have done with extra pillows and perhaps all hotels should consider having stock of appliance chargers in this day and age. The original room allocated had a faulty lock and could be opened from ther outside which the evening receptionist didn't quite seem to grasp and the back-up room was smaller.

February 3, 2012It's reasonably cheap compared to other Hoole road hotels, I don't think it was worth £36 for one night though. The hotel needs a serious refurb, because it's disgusting.
Hotel is old fashioned and rooms are filthy. Even the bedding is filthy. I only stay here if theres nowhere else to go. I make the same comments/complaints and they never do anything about it.

January 12, 2012Price and location, although it seemed longer than a mile away.
Although clean and comfortable it could do with a bit of a facelift, having said that it would probably cost more than what we paid for it.

January 11, 2012Walking distance from Chester
This hotel really needs updating. We were fortunate to have a room with a bath. Others in our party had rooms with showers, which were really single rooms with double beds in them. One room did not have bedside lights and you could only get into double bed from one side. The shower room was tiny, dirty, and with masking tape to cover the cracks between the floor and walls.

January 10, 2012It is situated within walking distance of the city centre, so didn't need to drive. The bed was very comfortable, which is rare in hotels. I have a bad back, so that was appreciated. Nice pub just over the road, which serves food and is family friendly.
The web-site indicated that there's a restaurant. It turned out that this was only for breakfast, but had assumed that having a restaurant, we could have an evening meal.

January 6, 2012The rooms were brilliant and the location to visit the chester zoo, the city and the the aquarium was just ideal.
The television sizes were poor, cooked breakfast would have been better than continental. The continental breakfast did not cater for babies.

January 3, 2012Due a very large radiator, the room was exceptionally warm on what was a very cool night.
On arrival, it appeared clean modern and invitingl, but the room we occupied in the coach house had several cobwebs on the ceiling, fan in shower room very noisy and stopped working, window frames were old, bathroom door never closed properly, paper on the ceiling was peeling. No traditional cooked breakfast offered, noisy from other guests........ And the £65 paid, we believed was expensive and not value for money

January 2, 2012It was close to the Chester centre, the staff were friendly and polite, but there were some issues.
I lost money in the vender machine provided, there was stains on the carpet in our room, the bathroom also dirty and stained. The tv signal was poor and it kept making a buzzing sound so we could not watch tv, the house maid just walked into the room when we told her not to as it was incovinient at the time and we had not over stayed past the time we had to leave.

The price at £40 for the night was attractive.
We refused the first room offered as the shower cabinet was broken with a missing door. The window let in little natural light as it faced a brick wall and it felt claustrophobic. The staff gave us another room. The kettle did not work but was replaced by the staff. The bed-side light did not work (it wasn't the bulb - the whole unit was faulty), Overall, a disappointing stay but for one night - it served its purpose.
