This small, rural hotel is set in the heart of the beautiful countryside of Extremadura, 6 km from the nearest village and 37 km from Cáceres.

Peace and tranquillity surround El Vaqueril - a renovated country house built in the traditional style of southern Spain. The timeless setting of green, rolling hills and meadows is complemented by modern facilities including an outdoor swimming pool. Around this pool you will find sun loungers, allowing you to spend some relaxing time outside in the sunshine and clean air.

Inside the hotel, enjoy an authentic, traditional Spanish experience amongst the terracotta, vaults and bare stone walls, as well as in the exquisite dining hall.

We can cater for your very special occasions: a wedding, a first communion or congress. We have a dedicated team that will guarantee you that your celebration will be a successful event. The Vaqueril is perfect for all types of celebrations, either family or corporate events.

Please note that the swimming pool is open in the summer from June.

• Children and extra beds: All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
• Cancellations: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
