The Löffelschmiede lies at an altitude of 870 metres, boasting wonderful views and lovely hiking and cycling trails. During the winter, go skiing at the nearby resorts or go for a horse-drawn-sledge ride. Cross-country trails pass close to the guest house.

A shuttle service to Titisee train station is available at an additional cost and by prior arrangement only.

The building which the guest house occupies was built at the beginning of the 19th century and used to be a metal smith's workshop, specialising in shovels.
