By Public Transport: There is a direct bus service from and to Athens via the ferry. By Plane: There are domestic flights connecting the island to the mainland daily. From May to October, there are charter flights from many major European cities. At the airport there is a taxi rank, as well as many car hire agencies. In Lixouri itself, there are places where you can hire a car. By Sea: If travelling in your own car, you can take the ferry from the mainland (Patras or Killini on the Peloponnese).
