In this town the historical past of the VOC (Dutch United East Indian Company) is still noticeable.The hotel has a cosy restaurant with a large terrace where you can enjoy a drink, lunch or dinner. Its location is ideal with the Zuiderzeemuseum and harbour at walking distance. A Perfect operating base for taking beautiful biking routes, the Zuiderzee path (walking) and boat tours to Medemblik, Urk and Stavoren. Centrally located but very peaceful.

By car: Coming from Amsterdam: - Take the A10, A8 towards Leeuwarden and then the A7 to Leeuwarden - Take the exit to Hoorn-Noord/Enkhuizen, then see * Coming from the Afsluitdijk or Den Oever (Texel): - Keep on following the A7 till the exit to Hoorn-Noord/Enkhuizen, then see * * -Follow the signs to Enkhuizen (N302) -Keep on following the signs to Sprookjewonderland (Lindenlaan, Dreef) till the traffic lights near Enkhuizen -At the sign to the Sprookjeswonderland on the left, take the road on the right (Noorderweg) -After three narrowings of the road, keep to the left at the Y-junction (Sybrandtsplein-Vissersdijk) -At the fifth street turn right to the Breedstraat -The Wapen van Enkhuizen is located next to the town hall Coming via the dyke from Lelystad to Enkhuizen: -Turn right to Enkhuizen at the end of the Houtribdijk at the first traffic lights -Drive along the railway station and follow the Stationsweg -At the end, turn left to the Spoorstraat, cross the white bridge until you cannot drive any further. Here, turn right (don't follow the 'doorgaand verkeer' to the left) -Follow this small street (Karnemelksluis and Waagstraat) until the next crossing where you turn right to the Noorderhavendijk -Drive straight ahead (Nieuwstraat) till the end where you turn left to the Kalkstijger -You will see the Wapen van Enkhuizen in front of you
