Every apartment has its own peculiar features, such as the elegant 2nd floor, with wooden beams and marble decorations, and the attic on the 4th floor, originally an artist’s studio with a spacious terrace over which all the rooms look.

Apartment 4 People

The Vivarini apartment, located on the 4th floor, was originally an artist’s spacious studio. It is composed of a large bedroom, a living-room with sofa, small dining-room, kitchen, bathroom and a wonderful panoramic terrace, which all rooms overlook. Positioned on the east side of the building, directly on the Fondamenta del Soccorso, along the Rio (canal) Santa Margherita, the studio offers a breathtaking view of the west side of the town and its mainland.

Apartment 4 Pax with kitchenette

The apartment opens on a bright living room with a delightful view of the gardens of the former Cloister of the Carmini, the church of the Carmini with its peculiar tympanum and bell-tower, and the profusion of roofs of Dorsoduro houses on the horizon. The living room is surrounded by 2 sofas and a glass table. The kitchen nook is found in front of the bathroom, and the spacious bedroom looks onto the Fondamenta del Soccorso, along Rio (canal) Santa Margherita. At dusk you can admire gondolas slowly sliding to the stazio (moorings) of Piazzale Roma. In the summer, the sunset makes the view even more charming.

The bedroom and living room look directly onto the Fondamenta del Soccorso, along Rio (canal) Santa Margherita. On the canal at dusk you can admire gondolas slowly sliding to the stazio (moorings) of Piazzale Roma. During the summer, the sunset makes the whole view even more charming. Ai Carmini Residence, Venezia - Area Information

Located close to both Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station, the hotel is in the district of Dorsoduro, along the Fondamenta del Soccorso. This street runs along a canal and derives its name from the hospice and school founded at the end of the 16th century by the Venetian poetess Veronica Franco.

The hotel is between Palazzo Zenobio (Armenian College) and an ancient building belonging to the Moro family (number 2615) and known as ‘Othello’s house’ as it is where Shakespeare set his famous tragedy.

In the immediate surroundings lie the church of the Carmini (Lorenzo Lotto, Cima from Conegliano), the School of the Carmini (Giovanni Battista Tiepolo) and the churches of Angel Raphael (Francesco Guardi) and S. Sebastian (Paolo Veronese). Just a few steps from S. Sebastian church is the charming walk along the Fondamenta delle Zattere, on the Giudecca canal. A few minutes walk away is Ca’ Rezzonico, the museum of the Venetian 18th century, and the galleries of the Accademia.
