Originally built in 1908 for the management of the world famous York Rowntree's chocolate factory (now owned by Nestlé), this fine example of a Victorian town house was recently refurbished and sympathetically decorated to the original Victorian décor and theme by the present owners.

By Car: - Take the York west approach A1036. - Turn left at the 1st set of lights. - Go past Tesco on the left towards the city centre. - Travel for one mile (1.6km), passing the racecourse on the right. - Go through the 1st set of lights then take the right-hand lane. - Turn right into Scarcroft Road. (Kwik-Fit will be on your left). - Follow the road to where the side streets go up to your right. - You need Russell Street. Go to the top and turn left; we are the 1st guesthouse. By Taxi: - Dalescroft is a short taxi ride from railway and bus stations. - The local taxi company is called Ace. By Bus: - Across the road from the railway station take the number 11 bus and ask for Southlands Chapel; this is also Southlands Road.
