The hotel is located near the river Reuss, in the middle of the historical old town and the traffic free shopping area close to the famous Lucerne Wooden Bridge.

Our hotel has been completely refurbished in January 2007. Enjoy rooms with integreted colour scheme. All our rooms have flatscreen TVs with dvd player, complimentary coffee and tea maker plus complimentary wireless lan!

The lake, shipterminals, the railway station and the spectacular KKL (Arts & Convention Center) are within walking distance.

The "White Cross" is one of the oldest hotels in Lucerne, already mentioned in records from the year 1495. Since the early 17th century the location of the hotel has been Furrengasse 19.

To all car drivers: You are allowed to park your car in front of the hotel entrance during the check-in and -out. After that, we please you to park it either in the blue/white zone (tickets at the hotel reception), in the parking garage Kesselturm or the parking garage at the railway station. Regarding the parking garages we advise you to turn your ticket - right after buying it - into a long stay ticket (seasonal ticket), so the ticket is getting cheaper.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00 in our restaurant. Recently the Ristorante/Pizzeria (open from 11:00 to 23:00) was elegantly redecorated and enlarged. 130 comfortable seats are now available. Throughout summertime 40 seats at the romantic patio in the small alleyway complete our beautiful facilities. Our elegantly redesigned non-smoking restaurant Chrüzli&Lounge offers 28 seats and can also be exclusively offered for groups and parties.

Walk over the "Seebrücke", the main bridge in front of the station (4 lanes), then turn left and follow the Reuss river until you reach the restaurant "Rathaus Brauerei". From there it's 10 feet to the hotel Zum Weissen Kreuz. The hotel is situated in the traffic-free zone of the historical old town of Lucerne. As a hotel guest you are entitled to drive into the traffic-free zone at any time but just for check-in and -out. You have the choice of three ways to find the hotel: Through Kapellplatz of the lakeside, coming from Ebikon or Küssnacht, then follow the brown hotel-signs. Passing the city police station coming from the highway. Cross the "Schnyderbrücke" and follow the brown hotelsigns. Drive through the historical tower, called "Nölliturm" and follow the Reuss river up the square, called "Mühleplatz". Then again, follow the brown hotel-signs.
