In large, peaceful gardens, 2 miles (3.2 km) from Birmingham's city centre, the Plough and Harrow Hotel is on the A456, one of the major routes into Birmingham.

The hotel is less than a mile (1.6 km) from Five Ways Railway Station and the International Convention Centre (ICC). The Bull Ring and Merry Hill shopping centres are also within easy reach.

Rich in historic character, the main house was originally built in 1704. Today, the en suite rooms have TVs, radios, hairdryers, telephones and tea/coffee. Some of the rooms are housed in modern extensions.

Offering tasty food in a relaxing atmosphere, the Tolkien Restaurant and Cocktail Bar is named after one of the hotel's most famous guests.
