Located just off the beach, this peaceful and traditional hotel comes with its own outdoor swimming pool - ideal for enjoying the warm sunshine on the island of Crete.

The Hotel Erato is set in Gournes Pediados, just 15 km to the east of Heraklion. Here you can enjoy the golden sands and clear waters of the Eastern Mediterranean.

Each evening, dine in the Erato's charming, wood-and-stone restaurant. There is also an informal bar where you can relax with a refreshing drink.

Local attractions include the island's international exhibition centre and one of Greece's biggest aquariums. A range of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops are found in the nearby resort centre. You can also dance the night away in Chersonissos, a 10-minute drive away.

Among the hotel's facilities is a roof garden. A pool with a sandy beach is located at about 800 m including free sun beds and umbrellas. At about 900 m there is a wide range of water sports such as diving lessons, water ski, parasailing, windsurfing, jet ski, banana, playground, table tennis.

During your stay you have the opportunity to enjoy a Greek night - BBQ with live music and dance by the pool or on the roof garden (with extra charge). Party by the pool.
In addition to the listed facilities and services the hotel offers a shower possibility on departure day (for late departure), excursions, a first aid
laundry service (outside the hotel) and a taxi service. Pets are not allowed.

Restaurant and bar: An attractive, comfortable and completely air conditioned room with quality service and reasonable prices. The restaurant can be also accessed from the main road and is preferred by many passers-by. The restaurant offers a wide range of tasty dishes and can satisfy even the most demanding guests. In the hotel restaurant the guests can try the local cuisine, all dishes prepared with the well-known Cretan art and local olive oil. The halfboard guest can enjoy a breakfast buffet and a served dinner. The guests can start their day with a coffee on the nice veranda by the pool and go on ordering a snack or other Speciality for lunch and later on coffee and cake. They can finish their day enjoying a drink. Near the restaurant there is also a nice bar air-conditioned with a satellite TV and a video, which is the meeting point for our guests.
