A short walk of 400 metres takes you to the harbour, with its boats, restaurants, shops and Pavilion, or to the central shopping area in Fleet Street and Torquay's nightlife and theatres. Also within a 400 metre radius are over 30 pubs, cafes and restaurants. Torquay's blue flag award beaches are a short walk away, and the south west coast path is a great place to walk and take in the scenery.

The excellent breakfast is served in the dining room, with views over Torwood Gardens.

Group bookings (2 or more rooms) are not allowed unless the hotel has agreed in advance. Same-sex group bookings are not permitted in the hotel (e.g. hen/stag nights). Some parking spaces are to the rear of the hotel, with access off Museum Road. The rest is in a secure car park off Museum Road.
