May 3, 2011the staff at the check in counter and the restaurant manager were good.
The website states "......The Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel is a 4-star hotel with 764 rooms overlooking the Seine, a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower.' It is certainly not a stone's throw from Eiffel tower. The tower is almost 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Apparently, this statement is misleading.

May 8, 2011Location was excellent. Not right in the business/centre of Paris, but within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. Access to the Metro was easy as it was close as well, and there were restaurants and shopping around the Metro station. We upgraded the room and were given a very good room with spectacular views. Free computer with internet access in 2 areas - helped with planning etc. Staff were responsive to requests for help.
The hotel appears to have been built (or upgraded) recently and the quality/finish of the hotel was not a very high standard (especially if you looked behind the facades). The controlling mechanism/taps for the shower were difficult to understand and we didn't seem to work it out well in our 4 days. The breakfast area was hard to find (as was the pool) due to the layout

Location is fair, from hotel to Metro about 10-15mins walking distance, from hotel to supermarket about 8-10mins walking distance. From Eiffel Tower to hotel about 20mins walking distance.

November 7, 2011Location was great; close to the Eiffel Tower and it was relatively inexpensive compared to similar hotels in the area.
The rooms were a bit small; but like most in the area. In addition, I would have liked to access to WIFI from my room (only available in the lobby).

October 28, 2011The hotel is very dependable (we've stayed twice before). It is a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower , 40 minute walk to Place de la Concorde and very convenient for families who want to stay indoors in the evening- teh pool is great and the kids feel very safe there.

October 4, 2011This hotel had a great location, near the Eiffel tower, and so was very easy to find - even late at night after some wine! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was really good, and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was, especially for what I thought was a very reasonable price.

August 16, 2011Location.
The bed seemed to be a rollaway bed and kept making noises everytime you moved. The booking didn't allow me to include the child, but I requested that I have a child and they said that we couldnt have a child in that room although the site claims children up to 16 stay free when sharing existing bedding with parents. Check in took long, they couldn't find the booking and asked for a print out of the booking sheet. While we were checking out a dog weeed in the reception area.

June 29, 2011It served our purposes, being close to the amenities that we were to enjoy. The stay was a pleasant experience.
Poor service in the La Seine Bar one morning, no bathrobes nor slippers in the bedroom, poor selection of refreshments in the room. no turn down service, room not cleaned until the late afternoon, poor shampoos in bathroom, very poor drawer and cupboard facilities that would have made it very uncomfortable for a stay of any longer duration. If this was a superior room, I dread to think what was a standard room. I beleive that we were in a standard room not a superior one.

May 9, 2011The view from room looking on to the Seine. That wasone of the two main reasons for booking this hotel. The other was proximity to the Eiffel Tower.
We were shown to a 'superior' room at the back of the hotel. I said that as we had booked and paid extra for a superior room in order to have a Seine view I did not want to be stuck at the back ,with no view of the river. It was quite a chore to have my room moved - the second room I was shown was in fact the very next door one to the original - same back view. It was only when I persisted that Iwas given a room, at the front, on the 4th attempt!

January 4, 2012Its location to Eiffel Tower and other touristic places.
The airconditioning system is very poor, the rooms are very hot in winter time and there is no way to have fresh air. When you wake up in the morning you feel very bad! The same is in the corridors.

January 4, 2012Semi close to effiel tower, had a good view of the river
Definitely not 4 stars, not luxurious seriously, for the price i expected A LOT better. rooms were old, and it showed. carpet was stained, walls were yellowing, bathroom had black grit, etc. etc. our sink didn't drain. the maid did not do a good room cleaning up the room (didn't even bother to hang the new towels on the rack where they go or to put back the decoration pillows on the bed). the sheets were definitely very old, threadbare, and grossly yellow in color. did not like this hotel one bit. if i had paid 1/2 of the price, then would have been satisfied, but they should not claim they are 4 stars because they certainly are not!!!! also, beware the walk from the subway. it is a long walk, at least 10-15 mins.

December 18, 2011Convenient location, and clean.
1. We could not figure out how the tv works. 2. No child friendly channel. Even episodes for Charlie and Lola were priced at EUR 4,00 each for a 20 min episode. We found that quite expensive. 3. Seems that they take forever to answer the phone at the front desk. My office was also complaining that calling me was very difficult since no one answered. 4. Staff (with the exception of the door man) were not friendly, and seemed to find their jobs a real pain!

The hotel is situated in a good location near to good transport links and has obviously been refurbished recently and looks very modern and fresh. The free Wi-Fi is great! The staff are excellent, one of the best assets of the hotel, I can't fault them at all, great service all except the restraunt manager who wouldn't let us in for breakfast at 9:35 as breakfast finished at 9:30 (the dinning room was still full and people were just starting breakfast?). I would recommend this hotel for the positive aspects mentioned but it is worth noting the issues I've mentioned.
The hotel was let down by a couple of things which impacted on the stay. 1. one set of single use paper cups and limited supplies of tea/coffee in the room, for a hotel of this standard and price why on earth? 2. The standard room was tiny and there was no room to unpack or store clothes. 3. The bathroom door had frosted panels and didn't close properly or lock, I was sharing a room with a work colleague so we had to arrange using the bathroom to avoid embrassment. 4. Being in a tower block the windows didn't open and it was like a sauna, god knows what it would be like in the summer, we had the air con on full at the lowest setting which kept it just about manageable, it certainly was noisy when trying to sleep. 5. 9:30 breakfast ends!
