Large spacious queen bed room which smelt very pleasant. Staff very supportive and informative. Car parking and access excellent.
The first room had no heating, but after reporting the fact. we were moved to another room at a extra cost which was satisfsctory. adequate.

Comfortable, quiet room.
I think its ridiculous to charge 15 pounds for Internet access in a hotel costing over 100 pounds per night. You had to look on the small print to actually find that...

I liked the general ambiance of the hotel
I forgot my hairbrush and asked a member of staff for a comb at 7pm on saturday and asked again at 9am on sunday still didnt get it!!!!!!!!!!!

Holiday Inn Northampton, Northampton - Reviews & Ratings"Arrived early but we were still allowed to check-in which was a welcome change. The staff were very helpful and friendly in manner. Hotel was modern, clean and in a good state of repair. The bar menu was good , if a little pricey and breakfast was excellent. Would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the locality and its also handy for motorsport at Santa Pod which was the reason for our stay." (99244584)
Clean and well presented, good sized room with all the usual facilities.
Only complaint would be that the tv reception was abit shimmery but I'm nitpicking as everything on a whole was great.

The accommodation provided was clean, bright, spacious and pretty.
The cooling system was a little noisy.

All equipment was in full working order and the room supplied all my business needs. e.g. large area in which to work, peace and quiet and internet connection should I have needed it. Holiday Inn Northampton, Northampton - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel was going through a refurb - but it was clean and dust free. The friendliness and efficiency of the staff was outstanding. Extremely pleasant hotel, nice surroundings and grounds. The receptionist was very helpful in allocating our room to us prior to the checking in time. We were able to freshenup and change ready to go to a wedding, the receptionist also ordered our taxi. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, with very comfortable bed. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and if I need to find accommodation again in Northampton will not hesitate to book a room at the Courtyard Marriott. The staff had a nothing was too much trouble attitude. ***** 5 star accommodation in my opinion." (3304670213)

On the contrary, the general impression is anonymuos and the staff don't seem interested in their job. The checkout was wrong, the cook seemed annoyed that I asked for an omelette, as the scrambled eggs on the tray were looking old and dry, then he turned the scrambled eggs upside down, to make them look fresh!!!!!!" Downstairs reception area has been refurbished and is now very clean & modern - nice!
Bathroom had milldew growing in the grouting which made it unsightly and looked unhygienic. Use of a milldew remover or bleach spray would get rid of this!

I didnt know there was a function on during our first night, but we where looked after via room service and where given plenty of opportunities to continue our stay and be involved as much as we wanted. The new look dining area and bar where very well done and the no-smoking policy was very welcomed (by me anyway. Less so my smoking girl friend!) Bar staff were very good, and reception couldnt have been more helpful. There wasnt really anywhere to walk to for a change of scene, but that wasnt the reason I booked the room. All in all a wonderful stay in a very nice Hotel. Top marks." (3304023822)
It was clean, smart and everything worked. The staff were excellent, friendly and informative.
None at all really, they were in the process of refurbishment that was going very well. I wish them well in the rest of the development.

This caused the room to be too warm and badly ventilated. The air conditioning could not be left on because it was too noisy. The staff at the Hotel were helpful and loaned us a personal fan to try and keep the room cool. The window was my only fault with the room." (2372658)

There were a few little things that we didn't like or weren't working. For example, some of the TV channels weren't working, the air conditioner was quite loud and the windows couldn't be opened. However, these were minor things. We enjoyed the buffett breakfast which had a wide variety of hot and cold foods, fruit etc and is served until 11am, which is always good if you want to sleep in! It's a bit expensive, so reduce the cost.

Only the reservation confirmation did not make it clear that the room rate was Bed and Breakfast, as the term 'Queen BB' is not definitive. Hope these comments are helpful." (2647866)
Good Value for money, good location, reasonable restaurant costs, excellent breakfast.
Only two disappointments: 1) the in room kettle was somewhat grubby on its surfaces outside and inside. 2) the sheet on the bed was of poor quality and did not fit well enough to tuck under mattress leading to an uncomfortable night.

Arrived at 9.20pm, reception could not find my booking. Waitied 20 minutes before they found it on the fax machine, Tried to order room service at 9:45 and was told that I could only have a sandwich and not a steak as requested, even though the room service menu said that this was available until 10pm. After a long conversation I got my steak but it was too tough to even cut let alone chew, no steak knife to be seen.
