The Belfry Country Hotel, Honiton - Reviews & Ratings"We received a very warm welcome, and a cup of tea, on arrival. The room was a little small and in close proximity to other rooms but the attention to detail within the room and cleanliness more than made up for the former. The food was excellent and a lovely balance between presentation, creativity and home cooking. The hotel is in a lovely location in the centre of the village." (97891012)

The Belfry Country Hotel, Honiton - Reviews & Ratings"Comfortable homely accommodation in good location for touring east Devon, Blackdown Hills and coast. Substantial breakfasts, crisp cotton bedlinen,white fluffy towels, ample supply of tea/coffee and 42 plasma in the residents lounge. The hotel is on the A30 but at this point it is no more than a fairly quiet country road." (97356693)

Breakfast is 8.00-9.00. 8.00 to 9.30 would be better.

Sarah-Jane and Neil were very welcoming, friendly, polite and helpful. They seemed to be interested in their guests and treated them with respect.
We had the ground floor room which was very noisy from people using the stairs and we could hear people talking in any of the downstairs rooms. The owners are aware of this and have the matter in hand.

Its actually just like being at home. Very friendly, rooms in good clean order and the choice for breakfast is immense. Second time i've stayed here whilst travelling through and will be back in the future. Would recommend this to anybody." (97872055)

Hosts were very friendly and at the same time very professional,our stay was most enjoyable and meals were excellent.
Shower was totaly innadequate but understand that the hotel is about to be completely refurbished and matters like this will be dealt with.

The rooms and everything was first class. I especially liked the fact this hotel is for adults only, after leaving my own children behind the last thing I want is other people's kids. Very charming, well appointed, good spacious rooms, spacious en-suite, comfortable beds. Nice lounge and good dining room. Very good food and exceptionally hospitable hosts who couldn't do enough for you.

The staff were very friendly and made my party very welcome. The fact that it is a non-smoking Hotel is excellent and more Hotels should adopt that policy. We arrived at 19.00 and was told our meal which we had previously ordered by phone would be ready from 19.30. There was very little waiting around for food. The hosts are an amazingly friendly couple and nothing appears to be too much trouble. I booked this hotel mainly on the reviews and I can honestly say it was perfect. The food alone is to die for!! They have an imaginative menu that works very well together; the ingredients are of a superb quality and all freshly prepared (you would think the beef was still mooing, it was that fresh). I have stayed in numerous hotels over the years and this is one of those rare ones that I would be happy going back to time and time again. Superb!!!!!!" (3304897748)

Extra milk is always available in a fridge by the stairs. The poetry themed rooms have a book of poems relevant to each. there is also a comprehensive selection of books on the landing & in the lounge that can be borrowed. The rooms are warm and comfortable, though not lavish or plush. Everything is spotlessly clean. The meals are superb. Everything you could possibly want for breakfast is available. The homemade museli is particulary delicious. Evening meals are beautifully prepared with wonderful ingredients and served in a a relaxed atmosphere. The proprietors are a lovely couple who go out of their way to be welcoming. You feel as though you are visiting friends." (3304274064)
