Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan - Reviews & Ratings"Well looked after by an excellent and caring staff and enjoyed our stay" (107921159)
Friendly welcome; Dinner in the Royal Hotel for my wife and myself was excellent and the the staff there were mainly young and very friendly; Staff in the lodge were more mature, friendly and helpful
Ours was a late booking and met our needs and glad to get it thanks to your own staff. The bathroom was very clean and adequate but could have been a little bigger but that was not a real problem and it is used as an overspill for the main hotel

Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan - Reviews & Ratings"For the one night I stayed it was adequate but no more. I have stayed in numerous cheaper hotels that offered much higher standards with regard to fixtures and fittings." (107956679)
Good position and friendly helpful staff.
Room poorly maintained and tired. Windows drafty and rattled in the wind.

The staff at the Royal Hotel were extremely nice and really helpful and I could not fault them in any way. The evening meal was very nice. This is our second stay and definitely not the last.

Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan - Reviews & Ratings"Reasonable apart from the very poor experience we had at breakfast.. " (97531280)
Reception team were good - polite and very helpful. Car parking was good
Breakfast team were very poor - slow service and no attention to customer needs (they were never anywhere to be seen) - tables unavailable because they hadn't been cleared - our plates then not cleared between courses - tea/coffee slow to arrive - toast even slower to arrive - and then no marmalade anywhere in the hotel...

Clean
Tea and Coffee making facilities kept in wardrobe without a tray

No complaints about hotel or staff
Only bad point was lift, if used and doors not closed then stairs had to be used.

Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan - Reviews & Ratings"Overall a good stay, good value for money at £50 b&b (the breakfast was plentiful and good). The only downside was that bed. Unfortunately I never discovered quite how bad it was until I awoke in the middle of the night unable to really get back to sleep again. If I had realised earlier I would have certainly been down at reception for a change of room. It did not spoil a pleasant evening and I am sure I would stay at the hotel again." (97364773)
The parking and location were excellent.
The bed was a bit decrepit and had a fair roll to the middle.

Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was easy to find, had good parking, staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself just felt like it needed a bit of an upgrade - the bathrooms more than the bedrooms themselves. Overlal though a nice hotel and would stay there again." (97680620)
Good room size
Needs modernised a bit - the bathroom in particular

Excellent service, lovely food (and I'm quite fussy!!), spotless cutlery and tables (I watched them being cleaned!), attention to detail. It's in a good location and convenient for local shops. Free Wifi access is available in the bar areas.
Not a problem in my room, but apparently can be noisy if you room faces the main road. Creaky floorboards! Everywhere.

Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan - Reviews & Ratings"We would have liked to have known that there was going to be a disco at the hotel on the night we were staying and been able to book a room that was not in the near vacinity of the music." (97302143)
The breakfast was excellent and the rooms were a good size and the beds comfortable. The overall location and communal areas of the hotel are excellent and it was perfect for our intended trips to Perth, Falkirk and Callendar.
It was noisy. There was a loud music until 1am in one of the main rooms right below our room. The beds were a bit short for tall people.

Convenient location, high standard of service, surprisingly good choice of fresh food at breakfast
First room didn't have a bath, second stunk of cigarette smoke, third was OK but later we found the tv didn't work.

Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan - Reviews & Ratings"An excellent hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The staff were professional and courteous and we had an excellent break." (97902896)
The excellent staff and food at breakfast and evening meal.
The room was of a high standard in all respects except that the heating was off and had to be reported that the room was cold. Our complaint was dealt with promptly by a member of staff who provided us with a heater.

Could open the windows - airiness of room. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Quaint accommodation. Female staff in the dining room were very friendly and efficient.
Would have been good if the wireless network reached my room on the top floor. Had to work in the sitting room or bar.
